About: Woody is a gentle 13‑year‑old lady who came to us from the pound, and was a little shy and unsure at first. With a little time, she’s grown more comfortable, and her sweet nature has really come through.

Woody is receiving ongoing medical care, so she’ll be staying with us long‑term, where she can enjoy a calm and comfortable routine. She adores attention from volunteers – especially a good scratch on her lower back. Hit the right spot and her two back legs start doing little “tippy‑tappies,” as if she’s about to break out in dance.

As Woody has settled in, she can be a bit feisty if another dog wanders too close to her comfort zone, but with volunteers she is very sweet and affectionate. Woody may be small and in her twilight years, but she is still full of personality, and we’re happy to give her the peaceful life she deserves.
