About: Riley, once affectionately known as our resident Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, has mellowed beautifully in his golden years. He first came to us as a pup and was adopted out, but sadly was returned after a biting incident. Since then, he has settled into sanctuary life in his own wonderfully quirky way.

His absolute favourite thing in the world is fetch. It is rare to spot him without a ball or toy proudly clamped in his mouth. Riley loves being around people, but always on his own terms. He enjoys pets, and if you’re lucky enough to become one of his chosen humans, he will honour you with the highest privilege he can offer: a belly scratch invitation.

Riley thrives on the familiar routine of the sanctuary. Every day he dashes out to the yard – tail wagging, eyes bright – ready to hunt down his toy of the day and enjoy life exactly as he likes it.
