About: Rocky has had quite the journey. He was adopted out twice but returned both times for biting, and for a while he could be a bit temperamental with some of the volunteers. However, the very day it was decided that he’d stay with us for good, something in him softened, and suddenly we had a full‑time cuddle bug on our hands.

Rocky has since appointed himself the official welcoming committee for new arrivals. Every newcomer gets the same VIP treatment: a vigorous, slightly chaotic grooming session that he insists is very relaxing. He takes his role seriously.

He absolutely adores attention from the volunteers. Sit down for more than a couple of minutes and you’ll feel a gentle tap on your arm – Rocky’s paw, politely requesting (or demanding) more pets. And once he’s by your side, he’s there for the long haul.

Rocky may have had a bumpy start, but here in the sanctuary, he’s found his place and we’re lucky to have him.
