About: Nelson is a Pug/Collie mix who has made the sanctuary his home after finding that life in a busy household wasn’t quite the right fit. He was very loving with his family, but visitors and strangers on walks often made him nervous, so he returned to us. He can be a bit reactive with some other dogs, so he appreciates calm, predictable company.
Here in the sanctuary, Nelson is living his best life. He absolutely lives for fetch in the run and delights our volunteers daily with his enthusiasm, zoomies, and impressive ball‑chasing skills. In another life he’d be signing autographs as a professional footballer.
Sweet, playful, and full of spirit, Nelson has become one of our cherished Forever Dogs.
