About: Mildred came to us from a hoarding situation, and she has remained shy and reserved ever since. She was adopted once, but in true Mildred fashion, she quietly slipped out of the back garden within hours and made her way back to the sanctuary, arriving just in time for breakfast two days later. We took the hint, and now the sanctuary is officially her home.

Most days, Mildred can be found snoozing peacefully on her own or curled up with her best friend Juliette. She has a definite soft spot for lurchers, and every so often she surprises us by initiating a little play bow before having a quick, joyful run around with them.

Mildred may be shy and reserved, but she knows exactly where she belongs – right here with us.
